An international seminar on “The cooperation of NGOs in identifying the role and place of religion in civil society building processes” was held by Center for Religion and Democracy in Baku on September 26-27, 2003 with the sponsorship of Open Society Institute “Soros” Foundation within the program “East-East”. NGOs from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan were present at the seminar which ended up with the protocol they signed for the creation of inter-regional religious enlightening network
